SliceMaster Micro Sample Preparation Tools are compact instruments that can easily cut thin sections from 10 to 200µm. These thinly sliced specimens may be viewed with a microscope. These instruments are simple to set-up for thin section preparation for specimens such as polypropylene bottles and multi-layer paper cartons. This product was originally designed for cutting specimens for FTIR analysis but is useful for many other applications. 

The SliceMaster is available in three blade angles: vertical, angled and multi-angled. The TS-10 Pellet Slicer is for irregular sized pellets, seeds, caplets and tablets. All of the SliceMaster tools use double-edge or single edge razor blades.

HS-1 Vertical Slicer

The HS-1 Vertical Slicer can vertically cut samples such as polypropylene bottles into 100 to 500µm sections, multi-layer paper cartons from 100 to 600µm sections, and PET samples from 150 to 400µm sections. Items such as polyester or other polymers can be sliced with a variable thickness of 100µm or greater.

HK-1 Angled Slicer

The HK-1 Angled Slicer can cut samples at a 15° angle. It can cut samples of coated paper to 140µm, zip-lock bags to 100µm, hair to 80µm and snack food bags to 60µm.

HW-1 Multi-Angle Slicer

The HW-1 Multi-Angle Slicer can cut samples at any angle from 45° to 90°. Various types of samples can be prepared with thin section thickness of 10 to 500µm, with the ability to select the desired sample thickness.

TS-10 Pellet Slicer

The TS-10 Pellet Slicer cuts at angles of 70° to 90° angles. The TS-10 Pellet Slicer used for cutting irregular sized pellets, seeds, caplets and tablets.
