Cryogenic labels suitable specifically for small diameter cryotubes and cryovials, cardboard freezer boxes, polypropylene cryo/freezer boxes, cell culture plates, plastic bags and other containers for storage in liquid and vapor phase liquid nitrogen (-196°C), liquid helium (-269°C) and laboratory freezers. NitroTAG® labels are made from strong thermoplastic film coated with an extra-permanent cryo adhesive, can be immersed in liquid nitrogen immediately after applying to item. They do not require the use of additional tape or wrap-around.
NitroTAG® products adhere to wet and moist surfaces, and withstand a range of extreme temperatures including multiple freeze-thaw cycles, transportation on dry-ice, and sterilization by Gamma irradiations (tested up to 50KGy). They can also be used for outdoor applications such as labeling plants and flowers.
Resistant to spraying with ethanol, isopropanol and other alcohols, bleach, DMSO, detergents and other chemicals (testing recommended).
Labels are compatible with all major brands of thermal transfer barcode printers such as Zebra, Datamax O’Neil, Sato, CAB, Intermec, Monarch/Paxar, CognitiveTPG, Printronix, Brady (selected models) and more.
Use RR-Class alcohol-proof resin ribbons.

Cryogenic thermal transfer labels remain strongly attached to various metal surfaces including aluminum, stainless steel, powder coated metal, painted metal, iron and more. They can be applied on the top and sides of freezer racks to easily identify racks and their content without pulling them out from dewar.
Our MetaliTAG™ labels are compatible with all major brands of thermal transfer barcode printers such as Zebra, CAB, Datamax O’Neil, SATO, Printronix, Citizen, Toshiba Tech, TSC, Intermec, Cognitive, Monarch, Brady (some models) and others. They also accept writing with permanent markers such as Cryo-Marker™. The labels are resistant to standard ethylene oxide gas sterilization
Use XAR-Class (Xylene Resistant) resin ribbons.
