PELCO^® SEM Specimen Preparation Station

This solid aluminum support block is a great practical tool for preparing samples on SEM specimen mounts. The SEM mounts are securely held by the specimen preparation station in an upright position providing a horizontal mounting plane. It holds 10 specimen mounts in identifiable numbered positions. Also ideally suited for examining mounted specimens under a stereo microscope. This versatile SEM specimen preparation station accommodates 3 types of SEM specimen mounts:

• Standard pin stubs with 3.2mm (1/8") pins used on FEI/Philips, ZEISS/LEO, Tescan, CamScan, Leica, Cambridge Instruments, Aspex and RJ Lee SEMs on side 1
• 10mm cylinder mounts used in JEOL SEMs on side 2
• 15mm cylinder mounts used in Hitachi SEMs on side 2

Each station is 75mm (3") in diameter with a thickness of 25mm (1").

PELCO^® Multi-Angle SEM Preparation Station

Multi-angle SEM specimen preparation block holds standard pin mounts in horizontal, vertical and 45° planes for easy mounting on pre-tilted specimen mounts. The vertical and 45° planes prevent specimens from moving when mounted on vertical and 45° specimen mounts. Locking screws are provided to secure the mounts during specimen preparation. Holds multiple pin mounts with 12.7 (1/2") and 25mm (1") diameter. The horizontal plane holds 5 pin mounts and is also useful for holding large pin mounts or pin mount type holders when mounting specimens. Material: blue anodized, solid aluminum with stainless steel locking screws. Overall dimensions are 70 x 50 x 40mm (2.75 x 2 x 1.6").

For use with M4/Hitachi SEM mounts, simply add pin stub adapters such as #15319 to mounts.

PELCO^® SEM Pin Mount Support Block

ideal for large pin mounts

Solid aluminum block provides support and a stable surface for large pin mounts or pin mount type holders when mounting specimens. This support block is also very useful when using a stereo microscope to mount or view specimens. Overall dimensions are ø61 x 16mm (ø2.4 x 0.63")

PELCO^® 40 SEM Pin Mount Stand

ideal for storage or preparation

This practical pin mount stand made out of clean solid aluminum is either useful for storage or specimen preparation of large numbers of pin mounts. The pin mount stand can hold 40 of the standard 12.7mm (1/2") pin mounts or 12 of the 25mm (1") mounts. The pin mount stand is compatible with all types of SEM pin mounts up to 100mm (4") diameter and with the pin mount type SEM specimen holders. Six of these pin mount stands fit on a shelf in a 12 x 12 x 12" desiccator creating a storage capacity of 240 standard pin mounts per shelf. Also very practical for storing pin mount type SEM specimen holders.

The PELCO® Pin Mount Stand can also be used for supporting pin mounts and pin type SEM specimen holders when mounting specimen. Ideal when preparing large numbers of specimens. One corner of the pin mount stand has a notch to aid as a locator. Overall size is 137 x 89 x 16mm (5.39 x 3.5 x0.63").

PELCO^® 36 M4/Hitachi SEM Mount Stand

ideal for storage or preparation

This workstation for M4 SEM mounts is fully-adjustable and made of solid aluminum with stainless cap screws. It is useful either for storage and/or for specimen preparation of large numbers of mounts in an array of sizes. Captured M4-threaded bolts can be raised or lowered to accommodate a large variety of sizes of M4 mounts.

The mount stand can hold a maximum of 36 standard 15mm (0.58") M4-threaded mounts. For larger mounts that might hang over the edge of the stand, 18 of the 25mm (1") mounts will fit with the stand outside of the polystyrene box, or 9 when inside and 11 of the 32mm (1.26") mounts outside of the polystyrene box, or 6 mounts when inside. The mount stand by itself is compatible with all types/sizes of M4 mounts. 

The PELCO® SEM Mount Stand can also be used for supporting M4/Hitachi-threaded mounts and SEM specimen holders when preparing large numbers of specimens.

Polystyrene storage box dimensions are 153 x 102 x 51mm (6 x 4 x 2").

Mount stand without polystyrene box is 150 x 95 x 21mm (5.9 x 3.75 x 0.83").

PELCO^® Variable-Angle SEM Specimen Mount Prep Station

Variable-angle SEM or FIB specimen preparation station holds specimen mounts at angles between 0-90° for easy mounting on angled SEM or FIB specimen stubs. 100 markings with additional markings for 30°, 45° and 90°. Ideal for viewing or mounting using a stereo microscope. Overall size is 33 x 20 x 19mm mounted on a 50mm disc for stability. Made of aluminum with stainless steel screws. Allen wrench included. Up to 25mm diameter pin mounts.
