PELCO® SEM Pin Stub Vacuum Desiccator

The durable and versatile PELCO® SEM Pin Stub Vacuum Desiccator holds up to 12 standard ø12.7mm (1/2") pin stubs, or two ø25mm (1") stubs or a single stub up to ø50mm (2") in diameter. Ideal for use with the PELCO® Fortress FIB Holders to protect processed samples as storage under vacuum eliminates contamination from vapor or dust.

The desiccator comes with a standard acrylic cap, allowing for a maximum 12mm (3/8") specimen height. Quartz glass and aluminum construction lids are available separately, which can accommodate up to 30mm samples. All metal parts are made of durable, non-outgassing, anodized aluminum and the use of Viton® O-rings makes the desiccator able to pump down to 10-3 mbar and capable of holding vacuum for many weeks. The metal vacuum valve has a PTFE shaft seal. Use a small vacuum pump to evacuate. Vacuum connection for pump-down is a 1/4" (6.35mm) barb fitting.

PELCO^® TEM Grid Vacuum Desiccator

This robust PELCO® TEM Grid Vacuum Desiccator holds up to 50 TEM grids in the grid box with a rotary lid with a slot hole to prevent the rest of the grids from falling out. Storage under vacuum eliminates contamination or dust and is ideal to preserve hygroscopic samples. The use of durable, non-outgassing, anodized aluminum and Viton® O-rings makes it suitable for pumping down to 10-3 mbar. The desiccator is capable of holding vacuum for many months. The metal vacuum valve has a PTFE shaft seal. Use a small vacuum pump to evacuate. Vacuum connection for pump-down is a 1/4" (6.35mm) barb fitting. The desiccator comes with a standard clear acrylic lid. An optional quartz glass and clear anodized aluminum lid is available for where cleanliness is paramount.

PELCO® Vacuum Desiccator for Hitachi M4 Sample Mount

The PELCO® Vacuum Desiccator for Hitachi M4 Sample Mounts holds either 5 of the 15mm diameter Hitachi M4 mounts or two of the 25mm diameter Hitachi M4 mounts. Storage under vacuum eliminates contamination or dust. Several lid options available allow for sample heights from 7mm for the standard lid to 30mm for the tallest. The use of durable, non-outgassing anodized aluminum for all metal components and Viton® O-rings makes it suitable for pumping down to 10-3 mbar. Capable of holding vacuum for many weeks. Metal vacuum valve with PTFE shaft seal. Use a small vacuum pump to evacuate. Vacuum connection for pump-down is a 1/4" (6.35mm) barb fitting.

The standard desiccator comes with a clear acrylic plastic lid suitable for samples up to 12mm tall. Quartz glass and anodized aluminum lids are available separately, for maximum cleanliness, visibility, and to allow for tall samples up to 30mm to be accommodated.
