Sample removable by soaking in acetone
The special distinguishing feature of Kulzer Technovit® 5071 is that it can be re-dissolved chemically. This enables the resin to be removed from samples that require further analysis without the encapsulating resin following sample preparation. Kulzer Technovit® 5071 can be dissolved with acetone, trichloroethylene or dichloromethane. Kulzer Technovit® 5071 is suitable for use in SEMs. With its excellent surface wettability and adhesive properties Kulzer Technovit® 5071 can be used as an adhesive for metals and can also be used for the application of strain gauges to a variety of materials.
Kulzer Technovit® 5071 is versatile and suitable for routine embedding work due to the range of mixing ratios and fast polymerization time (4 – 6 minutes). It can be mixed at ratios of 1:1 up to 3:1 of powder/liquid depending on the respective requirements and the required flow properties. A mixing ratio of 2:1 is generally recommended. Handling time after mixing is 2 minutes at 22° C.

Kulzer Technovit® 2000 Light Cure LC comes in a 1 liter bottle. An 80ml sample bottle is also available but will need a 430-490nm blue light source for polymerization, such as the Kulzer Technotray® POWER Light Curing Unit below. Best used with clear polyethylene molds.
Kulzer Technovit® 2021 Acrylic System
813-595, 813-596
Kulzer Technovit® 2021 Light Cure LC is a single component blue light curing resin that provides high transparency mounts with a maximum curing temperature of 90° C for a 1" (25mm) mount in as little as 5 minutes, using the Kulzer Technotray® POWER Light Curing module. This resin uses the same 430-490nm blue light source for polymerization as the Kulzer Technovit® 2000 above, but is much lower in odor so it is suitable to be used outside of a fume hood. Best used with clear polyethylene molds.
